Foaling Watch Update: April 6, 2025
Rain and wind kept turnout brief again today, but Ditto stayed bright, Thirteen stayed curious, and Audi stayed pregnant. Surprise gave the team a quiet victory by laying down for the first time in weeks—thanks to joint care and lots of love.
Foaling Watch Update: April 5, 2025
Audi’s milk calcium has crossed the 50 ppm mark, and while her pH remains above 7.0, we’re starting to see signs of progress. Cold hosing helped ease some swelling in her legs today as rain continues to drench Central Kentucky. Foaling’s not quite imminent—but we’re inching closer.

Chilly, Rainy Days and Foals: Preventing Pneumonia at Horse Husband Stables
Today’s chilly, windy, and rainy weather kept Surprise, her colt Thirteen, and pasture-mate Audi indoors at Horse Husband Stables. Dyana and her filly were already staying inside until the filly's contracted legs improve.
Foaling Watch Update – March 21, 2025
Dyana’s filly faced a challenging second day, with diarrhea, low IgG levels, and a concerning drop in white blood cell count. The HHS team responded quickly with high-gamma plasma, antibiotics, and supportive care. With early intervention showing signs of improvement, we're cautiously optimistic.
