Thanks to your votes in Round 1, we’ve narrowed 174 eligible submissions down to your Top 12 favorites—plus one extra due to a tie! That gave us 13 names total, but after checking The Jockey Club Names Book, we found that “Country Lady” is already in use and therefore not eligible to move forward.

That leaves us with 12 official Round 2 finalists, and now it’s time for Foal Circle members to help choose the Top 6 names that will advance to the final round.

✅ Round 2 Voting is open April 8–10, 2025

📢 Voting is limited to members of The Foal Circle. Only one ballot per member, please.

✨ Quick Notes on the Finalist Names

To help you get a feel for each finalist, we’ve grouped the names by the themes they reflect:

🌀 Names that Emphasize Repetition or Copying

These names play with the idea that the filly is a reflection or copy of her dam.

  • Ditto Dyana – Directly ties her to Lady Dyanaformer

  • Ditto Diva – Adds flair to the repetition concept

  • Ditto That – Catchy and casual with a clear nod to duplication

  • Dittoformer – Blends “Ditto” and “Dyanaformer” into one

  • Duplicated Lady – Suggests an intentional echo of the dam

  • Control V – A clever keyboard shortcut for "paste"

  • Copy and Paste – A literal, playful take

  • Copy Paste Milady – Adds a refined twist to the copy theme

  • Lady Di's Ditto – Highlights the filly as a “ditto” of Lady Dyanaformer

  • Lady Dittoformer – Combines the naming tradition with the copy theme

🏅 Name that Emphasizes Inheritance or Tribute

This name reflects the filly’s role as a continuation in her dam’s legacy.

  • Dyana's Legacy – Frames her as a continuation of Lady Dyanaformer’s story

🎨 Name with Mythological and Literary References

This name takes a different approach, drawing from classical sources and accounting for her sire.

  • Lady Calliope – Named for the Greek muse of epic poetry, this finalist also reflects her sire, Country Grammer, through a connection to language and writing. It also echoes the dam’s naming roots—Lady Dyanaformer was inspired by Wonder Woman, whose origins are tied to the Amazons of Greek mythology. The name maintains the “Lady” tradition used for homebreds at Horse Husband Stables while including a tie to the sire and a theme of individuality and expression.
