Final Voting Results: Name Lady Dyanaformer’s 2025 Filly

The final round of voting is complete, and we’re excited to share the results from Foal Circle members who helped shape the future of Lady Dyanaformer’s 2025 filly.

With 44.4% of the vote, the winning name is:

🏆 Lady Calliope

Named for the Greek muse of epic poetry, Lady Calliope honors the storytelling spirit that runs through both sides of the filly’s pedigree. Her dam, Lady Dyanaformer, was named after Wonder Woman and her Amazonian origins—also from Greek mythology. Her sire, Country Grammer, lends a subtle connection through the name’s association with language and structure. Together, the name suggests strength, individuality, and a life worthy of its own epic tale.

Lady Calliope also follows a naming tradition established by Horse Husband Stables with Lord Paycasso—whose name reflects both the “Lord/Lady” format and a second element beginning with the same letter as the sire (Paynter). In this case, Calliope begins with a “C,” like Country Grammer.

Assuming it’s approved by The Jockey Club, her barn name will officially switch to Callie—marking the beginning of her new chapter.

🎁 Prize Update

Because Lady Calliope was submitted by Horse Husband Stables, and they are not eligible to win contest prizes, the swag prize will be awarded to Abbey Schmidt, who submitted the second-place name, Lady Dittoformer—even if Lady Calliope is accepted.

If The Jockey Club does not accept Lady Calliope or Lady Dittoformer, then Dyana’s Legacy will be submitted as the third choice, and the prize will go to Nancy Doak, who submitted that name.

We’ll update everyone once The Jockey Club review is complete and we receive official approval.
