About My Audubon

My Audubon is a mare with a unique backstory. She was never meant to be here—at least, not at first.

She came to Horse Husband Stables already in foal in 2024 from their partner farm, Whysper Wynd, as a replacement for Empress Luciana, who had to be retired from breeding after a C-section delivery of Emperor Caesarion.

Now, she carries what will be her first foal for Horse Husband Stables—a baby by Brody’s Cause—and her journey is just beginning.

My Audubon is currently in foal to Brody’s Cause, a multiple Grade 1-winning son of Giant’s Causeway known for his success on dirt at both two and three years old. With $1.16 million in earnings, Brody’s Cause was a dominant force in his crop and a key contender on the road to the Kentucky Derby.

A Proven Classic Performer

🏆 Winner of the $500,000 Breeders’ Futurity (G1) at Keeneland as a 2-year-old
🥉 Third in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) against the best of his class
🏆 Winner of the $1,000,000 Blue Grass S. (G1) at Keeneland as a 3-year-old

As one of Giant’s Causeway’s most accomplished dirt runners, Brody’s Cause demonstrated stamina, heart, and late-running ability, making him a natural choice for breeders seeking a sire with proven classic talent.

A Sire on the Rise

  • First crop 3-year-olds in 2021 included Grade 1 winner Kalypso

  • Ranked #3 Sire in Pennsylvania

  • Over $4.3 million in lifetime progeny earnings

Brody’s Cause has already shown he can pass on his talent, producing stakes winners and durable dirt runners. His offspring inherit his strong finishing kick and ability to handle two turns—key traits for success in the modern Thoroughbred.

My Audubon’s 2025 Foal

My Audubon was bred to Brody’s Cause before joining Horse Husband Stables in 2024 from Whysper Wynd, one of the program’s partner farms. She was originally acquired as a replacement mare after Empress Luciana was retired from breeding following her C-section delivery of Emperor Caesarion.

Now, she carries what will be her first foal for Horse Husband Stables, a highly anticipated 2025 foal by Brody’s Cause. With a proven Classic-distance pedigree and a sire already making waves, this foal will be an exciting addition to the program’s future.
