Surprise and Thirteen Back Outside After the Storm

There was heavy rain and wind at Horse Husband Stables yesterday, so the mares and Thirteen all stayed in the barn for the day. It was still a bit muddy in the paddocks today, but the team decided it was safe enough for Thirteen to still go outside and stretch his legs for a few hours. They were less concerned about the footing and more about him getting too wet when laying down to rest, so they setup a nice bed of straw for him to enjoy.

He did very well on his wobbly legs in the slick footing, and when he finally decided it was time for a nap he got most of his body onto the straw right next to some fresh alfalfa Surprise can enjoy while she stands guard.
