Foaling Watch Update – March 12, 2025

🔹 Quick Status Overview 🔹

🐴 Elusive Surprise – Foaled today! Delivered her 13th (and final) foal on Day 342—right on her due date! Recovering well with some post-foaling swelling that will take a few days to resolve. Drinking plenty of water and being a fantastic mom.
🐴 Lady Dyanaformer – Day 335 – pH still high, but calcium has climbed to around 90 ppm—a positive sign she’s progressing in the right direction. Still has a way to go before foaling.
🐴 My Audubon – Day 315 – No changes. Happy and healthy as she continues her countdown.

Post-Foaling Update for Surprise

Surprise safely delivered her 13th foal on her due date—March 13! While she has considerable post-foaling swelling, which is expected, she is drinking plenty of water and recovering well. She’s also proving once again to be a wonderful, attentive mother. Over the next few days, we’ll continue monitoring her comfort and managing inflammation.

Dyana’s Milk Test Progress

Dyana’s pH remains high, which means she’s not yet in the foaling window, but her calcium has climbed to around 90 ppm—a sign that her body is continuing to prepare. She still has some time to go, but the progress is encouraging.

With one foal safely on the ground and another still in the works, we’ll continue keeping a close eye on Dyana and providing updates as things progress! 🐴✨
