Foaling Watch Update – Dyana’s Foal Check-In
Did you catch Dyana’s vet check live on the cameras this morning? The Horse Husband Stables team had their veterinarian out to perform a transabdominal ultrasound, just like the one done for Surprise before she foaled.
The good news? Dyana’s foal was very active, with a strong heartbeat measuring 80 bpm. Even more reassuring, the foal is facing the correct direction, which is an important step as we move closer to foaling. While not necessarily in position just yet, being oriented the right way is a relief at this stage.
One notable observation from the ultrasound—this foal looks big! The veterinarian commented on its size, which aligns with Dyana’s previous foals and overall build. While we’ll continue monitoring her closely, there’s no immediate concern, and she remains on track for a smooth foaling process.
With this update, the team at Horse Husband Stables will continue daily monitoring, keeping a close eye on Dyana’s milk testing results and physical changes as she progresses toward foaling. We’ll be sharing more updates as she gets closer!
